Video clip and slideshow of an installation piece.Once upon a time, I was dependent on over-the-counter sleep aids. Those beautiful little blue pills would always bring me a good nights sleep. After about a year, I decided to stop because I didnt want to be dependent anymore. And plus, its not very attractive when youre already so neurotic as is. In this piece, Ive likened the sleep aids to fairy tales which sedate us with their promises of happy endings. Ive constructed a castle out of the bottles and boxes to house my fantasy of being the princess and finding true love and happiness. Unfortunately, Disney has yet to grant my wish for a happy ending.
