Books: CCO has a strict (and odd) policy that they implemented a few years back regarding how many of each item a customer can buy (3) and what their total cost of their puchases can be ($300) in an attempt to keep people from buying items at the discounted price and then turing around and selling them for profit on places like ebay, etc.I imagine once I send some pictures (or video) of my makeup collection to show that it's for personal use and that I still own (and can account) for every single item I've ever purchased from a CCO, I suppose the ban will be lifted, however the fact I got banned in the first place is rather infuriating, not to mention completely embarassing that day at the store...... so perhaps I'll say a big "Screw You" to MAC (and all other Estee' Lauder companies in general) and start collecting NARS, or Smashbox, or Urban Decay instead. =)

Movies: So, with my bank still on the phone, and my ego slightly bruised, I go back into the CCO and tell them the bank said to run it again because the problem isn't from the bank's end. At this point, the woman at the register hands me a slip of paper with a name and a number on it and says "I called my manager to see what the problem was and it's not rejecting your card because of anything to do with your bank or insufficient funds, there's a block on your card because you've been banned from shopping here." She then advises me to call the number she gave me, which is the number for the Regional Manager of Estee' Lauder in New York.

Music: So, off I went, empty handed, leaving the lovely heatherette and Fafi lipglasses I had my eye on behind. Not to mention, that was a rather embarassing conversation to have when the store was filled with other customers....So, moral of the story I guess is:1. Limit your trips to the CCO 2. Limit the purchases that you make each trip &3. PAY WITH CASH, not a credit or debit card.When you make the max amount of purchases you can make at CCO (CCO has a rule that the max.you can spend is $300) and you frequent one, or several CCO's often and also pay with a debit or credit card, your debit or credit card gets FLAGGED in their computer database/system.

Hobbies: Totally mortified, I asked what the problem was because I knew I had money in my account, more than enough to cover my purchases. They suggested I call my bank. So, I call my bank. Bank says there was no problem from there end and there was no reason my card should be rejected.

Banned From CCO:Apparently, if you frequent the CCO often enough, and throw down a lot of money each time you go, they suspect you for re-selling their products and ban you!I hadn't been to a CCO in over a month since I was out of country on vacation, and I couldn't wait to head to a CCO to see if they had gotten any new things since I was last there. I picked out a few things, went to the register and when they ran my debit card, it gave an error message. They Ran it again and it was REJECTED.
